After completing her radiology training in London, Perth, Australia, Sheffield and Nottingham, Katharine Halliday was appointed as a Consultant Paediatric Radiologist at Nottingham University Hospital in 1998. She has a special interest in the imaging of suspected physical abuse. She was Chair of the British Society of Paediatric Radiology (2010-16) and chaired the working group for the updated guidance for imaging in cases of suspected physical abuse in children (2018). Dr Tetsuya Fukuda - PLENARY SPEAKER
Dr Tetsuya Fukuda, from National cerebral and Cardiovascular center in Japan, is an experienced diagnostic and interventional radiologist specializing in cardiovascular medicine. He is widely respected for his proficiency in endovascular aneurysm repair for aorta and balloon pulmonary angioplasty for CTEPH. He is currently one of four advisory doctors of balloon pulmonary angioplasty in Japan. Additionally, he holds distinguished roles as a delegate in multiple prestigious medical societies in Japan, such as Japanese society of Radiology and Japanese society of Interventional radiology.
Prof Dr Hamzaini Abdul Hamid - PLENARY SPEAKER
Hamzaini Abdul Hamid is a Professor in Radiology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He is currently practicing as a senior consultant in Radiology, Faculty of Medicine UKM. He completed his medical degree from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1995 and obtained his Master of Medicine (Radiology) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2004. He always has soft spot in Paediatric since his undergraduate year, hence further his training in Fellowship in Paediatric Imaging at Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids), Toronto, Canada in 2009-2010. Since completed his fellowship and return to Malaysia, he has been actively involved in Paediatric Imaging and Imaging of IBD in Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz and Hospital Pakar Kanak-kanak UKM until now. He has been invited to talk on Imaging in Paediatric and IBD locally as well as Southeast Asia region (In Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines). He is currently the Secretary General for Asian Oceanic Society for Paediatric Radiology for 2022-2024.
Dr Ahmad Zaid Zanial
Dr Ahmad Zaid Zanial AM, FANMB, MMed NM (USM), MBBS (UM) practices as a Nuclear Medicine Physician at Hospital Kuala Lumpur since 2016. He underwent and completed his fellowship training in nuclear oncology at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital NHS England (Nov 2021 – Oct 2022). He contributes regularly towards nuclear medicine and molecular imaging publications, research activities and postgraduate trainings. He is also currently serving as a senior board member of the Hospital Research and Review Committee, Clinical Research Centre, Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
Dr Aida Abdul Aziz
Dr Aida Abdul Aziz is a Thoracic Radiologist working at Hospital Sultanah Aminah Johor Bahru and as a visiting Consultant Thoracic Radiologist at Hospital Sultan Ismail, Johor Bahru, and Gleneagles Hospital Medini, Johor. She obtained subspecialty training in Thoracic Radiology from the Ministry of Health, including an observer ship at Royal Brompton Hospital in London. Dr Aida actively participates in multidisciplinary meetings, speaks at national and international conferences, and has a special interest in ILD and Respiratory Infectious diseases. She has published papers on COVID-19 and is currently involved in research on Long Term COVID-19 and Artificial Intelligence.
Dr Ajit S. Shinto
Dr Ajit S Shinto, a dynamic Nuclear Medicine physician with vast experience in establishing Nuclear Medicine facilities with high end PET/CT, PET/MRI, SPECT-CT, clinical trials, research & academic programs. He has served on executive & governing boards of various national & international societies as well as Editorial boards of multiple international peer reviewed journals. He is the Co Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Nuclear Medicine & Research, has more than 150 International publications, has written numerous book chapters & has been a participant in many national & multinational clinical trials. He graduated from St. John's Medical College. Then he completed DRM from Mumbai University. Further he took DNB. He holds PGDHA/HM, MNAMS and MICNM.
Prof Dr Anushya Vijayananthan
Anushya Vijayananthan is a Professor and Consultant Clinical Radiologist at the University of Malaya's Department of Biomedical Imaging. She specializes in women's imaging, vascular ultrasound, and interventional radiology. She has training in Vascular Ultrasound and Interventional Radiology, with a particular interest in MRgFUS for gynae pathologies. She is actively involved in medical education, serving as the OSCE Coordinator for the Faculty of Medicine and the Postgraduate Coordinator of the department. She held the post of Coordinator of the Continuing Biomedical Imaging Education Centre for many years and is still currently active in the organization of courses in the department.
Dr Asokan R. Nair
Dr Asokan is a senior consultant clinical radiologist and has been involved in training and teaching the trainee radiologist. His passion for teaching made him pursue to obtain a postgraduate certificate in medical education from University of Dundee. He conducts viva classes for the trainees and was part of the faculty for the Singapore FRCR/MMed Radiology Preparatory course for several years. He is also an examiner for the MRad examination.
Dr Chen Po-Ting
Dr Chen Po-Ting currently serves as an attending radiologist and clinical lecturer in the Department of Medical Imaging at National Taiwan University Hospital. He specializes in interventional and abdominal radiology, with a research focus on common interventional procedures, radiomics, and the application of artificial intelligence in pancreatic and adrenal imaging.
Dr Cyril Ong
Dr Cyril Ong is a paediatric radiologist working in the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH), Melbourne with a special interest in abdominal imaging. He works with clinicians especially general paediatric surgeons and gastroenterologists to deliver care to the children of Victoria and help “achieve a world where all kids thrive” in line with RCH vision and values. He is passionate about teaching, and he is actively involved in training Victorian radiology registrars who rotate through RCH. He also teaches in the University of Melbourne Master of Medicine (Radiology) courses.
Dr Farah Naz Saleem
Dr Farah is a general radiologist at Selayang Hospital since 2016. She obtained her medical degree from University of Calgary, Canada in 2004 and her Masters in Radiology (MRad) from University Malaya in 2014. She is currently working as a general radiologist with special interest in breast imaging and MR Defecography. She has been doing MR Defecography at Selayang hospital since 2017 and has been offering consultative assistance to various centres which are now starting their MR Defecography services in Malaysia.
Assoc Prof Dr Faizah Mohd Zaki
Dr Faizah Mohd Zaki is a senior consultant in pediatric radiology and a medical lecturer at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Faculty of Medicine and Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhroz (HCTM) UKM. She is also the Head of Radiology and Intervention Services at UKM Children's Specialist Hospital (HPKK) UKM. She graduated from Faculty of Medicine UKM in 2002 and later was awarded with the Master of radiology (UKM) in 2009. Subsequently she completed her sub-specialty training for 1 year each in pediatric neuroradiology and general pediatric radiology at the Hospital for Sick Children (Sickkids), Toronto, Canada. She has deep interest in pediatric neuroradiology, head & neck radiology and pediatric oncoradiology.
Assoc Prof Dr Faizatul Izza Rozalli
Dr Faizatul Izza Rozalli obtained her primary medical degree from Nottingham University in 1997. After obtaining her MRCP, she did her radiology training in Nottingham and obtained her FRCR (Fellowship of Royal College of Radiologist) in 2005. She has been a Consultant Radiologist since 2009 while practicing in the United Kingdom specializing in Musculoskeletal, Radionuclide Radiology (Nuclear Medicine), Cross sectional Body and Oncology Imaging. In September 2012, she joined the Department of Biomedical Imaging in University Malaya and is currently an Associate Professor. She is actively involved in UMRIC (University of Malaya Research Imaging Centre) and has published multiple peer reviewed papers in ISI journals.
Dr Farhana Fadzli
Dr Farhana is a Senior Lecturer and Clinical Radiologist at the University of Malaya Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur, she underwent post graduate training (Master of Radiology) at University of Malaya and obtained her Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiology in UK. She joined University of Malaya as an academic staff in 2007. Her clinical interests and research contributions are mainly focused on Breast Imaging, Nuclear Medicine and Neuroradiology. Dr Farhana has published and presented numerous publications and scientific papers in peer reviewed journals. She is active in clinical research, serving currently as principal investigator and collaborator for numerous studies.
Dr Git Kim-Ann
Dr Git graduated with an MD from UPM, an M.Med (Radiology) from USM, and following an attachment at Mayo Clinic, obtained certification in imaging informatics from the ABII. Her interests include workflows and connectivity, advanced image analysis and deep learning in radiology. She is also a passionate writer and advocate for diversity and inclusion.
Dr Hanim Mohd Taha
Dr Hanim is a general radiologist in Selayang Hospital since 2017. She obtained her medical degree from National University of Ireland in 2003 and her Masters in Radiology (MRad) from University Malaya in 2016. She has special interest in trauma imaging and involved in acute trauma as well as acute stroke imaging in tandem with streamlined services offered in Hospital Selayang, working closely with emergency and trauma physician.
Dr Hilawati Yusof
Dr Hilawati Yusof graduated from University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff in 2002. She did all her training in internal medicine and clinical oncology in UK. She did her oncology training in Velindre Hospital, Cardiff and Royal Surrey County Hospital (St. Luke’s Cancer Alliance), Surrey. She has experience in IMRT radiotherapy, systemic therapy including immunotherapy and participated in cancer clinical trials as sub-investigator. She obtained her FRCR in Clinical Oncology in Spring 2018, following which she returned to Malaysia to work as Clinical Oncologist at PPUKM. She has special interest in urology and gynaecological cancers.
Assoc Prof Dr Hilwati Hashim
Dr. Hilwati Hashim is an Associate Professor and Consultant Neuroradiologist at UiTM. With a background in Trinity College Dublin and Universiti Malaya, she completed a Fellowship in Neuroradiology. She serves as Head of the Department of Radiology at UiTM, has published in Radiology and Neuroradiology, and is a member of various societies including CoR, ESNR, MSN, and RSNA. Her expertise is sought after for speaking engagements and as a reviewer for national and international journals.
Prof Dr James F. Griffith
Prof Dr James Griffith, from Cork, Ireland, is currently Professor and Chairman of the Department of Imaging and Interventional Radiology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is interested in all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging. His main research interests currently are tibiofemoral kinematics following injury and MRI evaluation of early rheumatoid arthritis. He is the immediate past President of the Asian Musculoskeletal Society. He has published 349 peer-reviewed papers, 201 book chapters, and edited 8 textbooks.
Assoc Prof Dr Jeannie Wong Hsiu-Ding
Jeannie Wong studied Biomedical Engineering, followed by Master of Medical Physics at the Universiti Malaya. She received her PhD from the University of Wollongong, Australia. She started her career at the Department of Biomedical Imaging, Faculty of Medicine, the Universiti Malaya as a senior lecturer in 2011. Her research interests include radiation dosimetry, radiotherapy, medical imaging and radiomics. She has published over 70 papers to date. She was promoted to associate professor in 2018. Dr Wong has vast experience in the teaching of radiation physics and biostatistics at the postgraduate level. She has been involved as lecturer and examiner for the Master of Radiology and Master of Clinical Oncology at the Universiti Malaya since 2012. In 2019, she received the Southeast Asian Federation of Organizations of Medical Physics (SEAFOMP) Young Leader Award.
Dr Jimmy Woo Sze-Yang
Dr Jimmy Woo obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2008 and completed his Master of Radiology in 2017. He has recently worked as a cardiac magnetic resonance fellow at Flinders Medical Centre, Adelaide, Australia in 2022. Dr Jimmy is currently employed as a consultant cardiac radiologist at the Heart Centre, Hospital Sultan Idris Shah, Malaysia.
Dr Julian Goh Park-Nam
Dr Julian Goh is a Head and Neck Radiologist in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He obtained his FRCR in 1999. He trained under Dr Tan Tiong Yong, and from 2003 - 2004, trained under Professor Wendy Smoker at The University of Iowa with. His interests include cancers of the nasopharynx, larynx and hypopharynx, sinonasal imaging and the temporal bone, working closely with his Oncology and Surgical colleagues.
Dr Kama Azira Binti Awang @ Ramli
Dr Kama Azira is an accomplished Consultant Radiologist, currently serving in Hospital Sultan Idris Shah. She holds an MBBS degree from Universiti Malaya (1996) and a Master of Medicine in Radiology from Universiti Sains Malaysia (2006). Dr Kama Azira's expertise in Cardiac Radiology, gained through a Subspecialty Fellowship Training Program, has been further honed during her tenure as a CMR Fellow at Flinders Medical Centre, Australia. She had achieved level 3 training in Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. She is a member of the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) and is registered with the National Specialist Register of the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
Prof Dr Kartini Rahmat
Dr Kartini Rahmat is a Radiology Consultant and Professor at the University of Malaya, Malaysia. She completed her education at the University Malaya and obtained the Royal College Fellowship in Radiology (FRCR) UK. Her subspeciality training includes Breast and Diagnostic Neuroradiology at Royal Perth Hospital and University Malaya Medical Centre, as well as a neuro MRI clinical observership program at Queensquare Hospital UK. Dr. Kartini actively participates in research studies and clinical trials in neuroimaging, oncology, and cancer radiomics. Her interests also include breast cancer risk factors and interventions, neuroimaging in dementia and epilepsy, advanced MRI, and ultrasound techniques.
Dr Keefe Lai Yusheng
Dr Keefe Lai is a Consultant in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Singapore General Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the National University of Singapore, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2011. He completed his specialty training in the SingHealth Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program in 2019 and received the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2016. In 2019, he obtained the Certified Imaging Informatics Professional and currently practices chest, abdomen, and pelvic imaging. Additionally, he serves as the Deputy Director of Imaging Informatics in the Division of Radiological Sciences at Singapore General Hospital. Dr. Keefe has a keen interest in colorectal imaging, CT Biomarkers for opportunistic cardiometabolic screening, workforce sustainability, and medical imaging perception.
Assoc Prof Dr Kew Thean-Yean
Kew Thean Yean is a Associate Professor in Radiology at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He obtained his undergraduate medical degree from the University of Nottingham (UK) in 2000, and earned the FRCR in 2008. He was awarded a scholarship for subspecialty training under the European Society of Radiology Imaging Fellowship in Brescia, Italy in 2011. He is currently practising as a Head & Neck Radiologist at the Medical Faculty of UKM. His current research interests include cone beam CT in otology and artificial intelligence radiographic interpretation.
Assoc Prof Dr Khairil Amir Sayuti
Assoc Prof Dr Khairil Amir Sayuti is currently the Head of Radiology Department, Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia. He specializes in general radiology with subspeciality training in cardiac imaging at Institut Jantung Negara and Royal Brompton Hospital, London. He has been a clinical lecturer for more than 10 years and an experienced examiner for Master of Radiology programme for several years.
Prof Dr Manabu Minami
He graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1983 and started a radiology residency at the same hospital. He served as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Radiology at University of Tsukuba (2004-2019). His interests relate to thoracic, abdominal, and musculoskeletal imaging. He is now working as a teaching staff at affiliated hospitals of the Universities of Tokyo and Tsukuba.
Mr Manmohan S Dhillon
Mr Manmohan S Dhillon completed his pupillage with Mr P S Ranjan and became an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1990. He has been practicing law at P S Ranjan & Co since then, becoming a partner in 1997. He is a member of the Medico-Legal Society of Singapore and has served as a legal advisor to various medical organizations, hospitals, and support groups. Manmohan has appeared as counsel in medico-legal cases, representing claimants, doctors, hospitals, and patients. He has also participated in conferences and seminars worldwide and is involved in community and charity work.
Dr Maninderpal Kaur
Dr. Maninderpal is a Breast-Imaging Radiologist and Head of the Breast Imaging Unit at Kuala Lumpur Hospital in Malaysia. She obtained her undergraduate training in Bangalore University, India, and completed her postgraduate radiology training at the University Malaya in Malaysia. She has a particular interest in breast imaging and received additional training in breast imaging at various institutions, including Gustave Roussy Cancer Institute in Paris and Careggi University Hospital in Italy. Her current practice involves various breast imaging techniques, and she has been instrumental in introducing contrast enhanced breast imaging in Malaysia. Dr. Maninderpal has published two books on contrast enhanced mammography and regularly lectures nationally and internationally. She is also actively involved in research and has contributed to multiple abstracts and publications in international journals and congresses.
Dr Mohamad Izzat Arslan Che Ros
Dr Izzat Arslan is a lecturer, clinical radiologist and neurointerventional radiologist fellow in Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz. He obtained his Medical Degree from Volgograd State Medical University, Russia (VSMU) in 2013 and Doctor of Radiology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2022. His main interests include neurointerventional radiology and neuroradiology. He also engages actively in Malaysian Neurointerventional Society (MyNIS) and Malaysian Society of Interventional Radiology (MYSIR).

Dr Naveen Rajadurai is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist who is currently practicing in KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital. His special interests include but not limited in Pain Management, Minimally Invasive Spine Intervention, Sports Imaging & Intervention, Bone & Soft Tissue Oncology Treatment (Cryotherapy, Microwave and Radio frequency Ablation) and Extravascular Interventional Treatment. Dr Naveen is the Vice President (Radiodiagnosis) of the College of Radiology, Malaysia since Sep 2020, Vice President of the Malaysian Society of Interventional Radiology since July 2020 and the current Vice President of Malaysian Society of Radiologists.
Dr Ng Wei-Lin
Dr Wei Lin Ng joined as an academic staff in the Department of Biomedical Imaging, University Malaya in 2018. She obtained her medical degree (MBBS) and masters of radiology (MRad) from University of Malaya. She completed her fellowship training in interventional radiology in Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok Thailand.
Prof Dr Norlisah Mohd Ramli
Dr. Norlisah is a Professor of Radiology, at the Department of Biomedical Imaging and a Neuroradiology Consultant for the University of Malaya Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She graduated with an MBBS University of Malaya and obtained her FRCR in London. She has received her radiology training at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham and has her neurointerventional training at Bicetre hospital in Paris. Her main research contribution has been in the field of neuroimaging. She is one of the Merdeka Awards recipients in 2008. Professor Dr Norlisah has published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and oversees over 100 scientific papers. She has also organized and directed several workshops on neuroradiology imaging and serves as an expert team mission for IAEA. She also serves as a reviewer for various grant applications such as the UMRG and Science funds. She is currently the President College of Radiology, Academy of Medicine of Malaysia (COR) and Malaysian Society of Radiologists (MyRad)
Prof Dr Nur Aishah Mohd Taib
Prof Nur Aishah Taib is a senior consultant breast surgeon and professor at the University of Malaya. She is the Head of UM Cancer Research Institute and has extensive experience in patient care and outcomes. Prof Nur Aishah is involved in training surgeons and examining breast and endocrine surgery subspecialty exams. She has supervised numerous research projects and is a member of various medical committees and organizations. She is also leading local initiatives to improve cancer care and is involved in community studies on cancer diagnosis and survivorship. Additionally, she serves as the president of a Malaysian NGO called Together Against Cancer.
Dr Nur Asma Sapiai
Dr Nur Asma Binti Sapiai is an accomplished medical professional who obtained her medical degree and Master's in Medicine of Radiology from USM. She has extensive experience in different medical settings and joined USM in 2019. With a clinical attachment in Neuroradiology and a year-long fellowship in Ankara, Turkey, Dr Nur Asma continually refines her skills and stays updated with international practices including international conferences held in UK, Portugal, Madrid and Turkey. Her dedication to Neuroradiology showcases her commitment to providing exceptional medical care and staying at the forefront of advancements in her field.
Dr Nur Fadhlina Abd Satar
Dr Nur Fadhlina is a Clinical Oncologist at University of Malaya. She completed MRCP(UK) and trained at University College London and Barts NHS Trusts. She subsequently obtained FRCR and master’s in clinical Oncology under Institute Cancer Research London. She is passionate on issues pertaining to medical education and currently leads the Cancer ECHO UM project and is the Program Coordinator of master’s in clinical Oncology UM. She actively collaborates with researchers, being the Principal Investigator in Digital Health clinical trial, as well as drug trials in breast and head and neck cancers. She has also published in her clinical areas of interests which are head and neck, breast and gastrointestinal cancers.
Dr Nurul Hafidzah Rahim
Dr Nurul Hafidzah Rahim graduated with MD from Faculty of Medicine, University of Putra, Malaysia in 2007. She holds a Masters in Radiology from University Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2015. She did her Neuroradiological training locally during the pandemic years in 2019 to 2021 and Neuroradiology fellowship for one year in National Neuroscience Institute Singapore in 2022. She had also actively involved with multiple international courses including the remote fellowship program by Dr David Yousem and currently completing her diploma in Neuroradiology by European Society of Neuroradiology. Dr Nurul Hafidzah is a Neuroradiologist in Department of Radiology, Hospital Kuala Lumpur, which is the biggest tertiary public hospital and will be soon posted to Hospital Putrajaya to expand the neuroradiology service in our country. She holds membership in both local and international neuroradiology and neuroscience society. She is also actively involved in journals publications, neuroradiology related conferences, and has been invited as speakers in some of the recent local conferences.
Prof Dr Oh Young-Taik
Prof Dr Oh Young-Taik is a professor currently serves in Severance Hospital, Yonsei University, College of Medicine, Seoul, South Korea. He specializes in Genitourinary imaging. His area of interest includes Oncologic imaging, Prostate imaging. He is the President of Korean Society of Genitourinary Radiology, Chair of Education committee, ASAR and Program sub-committee member for the AOSOR. He has more than 86 peer-reviewed scientific papers.
Dr Rathachai Kaewlai
Dr. Rathachai Kaewlai is a full-time academic radiologist in the Division of Emergency Radiology at the Department of Radiology of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. He is a US-board-certified radiologist with expertise in emergency, thoracic, body and forensic imaging. He has made significant contributions to the field, including the establishment of the first Emergency Radiology division in Thailand and the Thai Emergency Imaging Group.
Asst Prof Dr Sarah Kyongmin Beck
Kyongmin Sarah Beck is Assistant Professor, Cardiothoracic Imaging, Department of Radiology, Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, College of Medicine, The Catholic University of Korea. She is the Secretary of the International Liaison Committee, the Korean Society of Radiology. She is also a member of the Korean Society of Radiology, Korean Society of Thoracic Imaging, Korean Society of Cardiovascular Imaging, Korean Aasociation for Lung Cancer, and International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer. Her main research interests: CT-guided lung biopsy, Lung cancer, COVID-19 pneumonia, mediastinal MRI.
Prof Dr Seo Joon-Beom
Joon Beom Seo, MD is a professor of radiology at University of Ulsan College of Medicine in South Korea. His focus of research has been applications of various new technologies, such as image processing, robotics, 3D printing, and artificial intelligence to improve radiologic practice. In particular, he has performed much research on quantification of COPD and ILD at CT, evaluation of combined perfusion and ventilation of the lung using dual energy CT, lung cancer radiomics and AI techniques for lung imaging. He founded the Korean Society of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (KoSAIM) in 2018 and served as the first president of the society. He is currently served as the president of international workshop on pulmonary functional imaging (IWPFI) and the president of Korean Society of Thoracic Radiology (KSTR).
Assoc Prof Dr Shahizon Azura
Shahizon Azura Mohamed Mukari is an Associate Professor and Neuroradiologist at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre. She obtained her Bachelor degree from the University of Glasgow in 1995 and her Master in Medicine (Radiology) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2005. She is actively involved in the Conjoint Board of Radiology, overseeing the direction and training of Radiology specialization in Malaysia. She has published articles, supervised Masters of Radiology candidates, and secured local research grants. She is an active member of the Neuroradiology Special Interest Group, sharing knowledge through courses and seminars.
Dr Siti Hajar Omar
Dr. Siti Hajar Omar, a graduate of the Universiti Sains Malaysia with a Master's in Radiology obtained in 2016, has pursued a specialization in Musculoskeletal Radiology through extensive training. She underwent subspecialization training at the esteemed Hospital Kuala Lumpur, where she honed her skills in this specialized field. In addition, she pursued further overseas training at Bern University Hospital, Switzerland, expanding her expertise in musculoskeletal radiology. Currently, Dr. Siti Hajar Omar serves as a dedicated professional at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, and her work is characterized by a particular focus on hip and musculoskeletal-related tumor imaging, as well as musculoskeletal-related interventions. Her dedication to these areas of interest reflects her commitment to providing comprehensive and specialized care to her patients.
Dr Siti Salwa Mohamad Zaini
Dr Siti Salwa is a Neuroradiologist under the Ministry of Health Malaysia and currently working at Hospital Kuala Lumpur. She completed her Neuroradiology Subspecialty Training in early 2023 and during her training, she had the opportunity to train in various hospitals including local and overseas training centers. Her special interest in Neuroradiology includes CNS tumor, neurodegenerative and cerebrovascular disease.
Assoc Prof Dr Suniza Jamaris
Suniza Jamaris is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon and Associate Professor at Universiti Malaya. With a medical and master’s degree from UM, she has extensive experience in breast and axillary surgery. She has received fellowship training in Breast Oncoplastic Surgery at renowned institutions worldwide. Her expertise lies in managing benign and breast cancer diseases and improving breast cancer screening programs. Currently, she actively participates in implementation science programs and is involved in a clinical trial on intra-operative radiotherapy for breast cancer treatment.
Dr Syadwa Abdul Shukor
Dr Syadwa began her journey as a medical doctor in 2010. Thereafter, she completed her specialist training in clinical oncology from UM and obtained FRCR (Clinical Oncology) in April 2019. She is currently working as a resident physician in the Department of Radiation Oncology, NCIS. She is actively involved in cancer research and has published several articles in reputable medical journals. She has a deep interest in brachytherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery and SBRT.
Dr Teoh Li Ying
Dr Teoh Li Ying is a surgeon with expertise in breast surgery. She completed her MBBS and Master of General Surgery at UM, and a fellowship attachment in Taipei Medical University, Taiwan. She has a subspecialty in Breast Surgery from Malaysia. Dr Teoh's areas of interest include hybrid breast oncoplastic autologous reconstruction, endoscopic mastectomy, and IORT. She serves as the main liaison person in Greater Petaling Interhospital MDTs and is involved in quality improvement projects related to breast cancer control. She also shows great enthusiasm in postgraduate training as a trainer.
Prof Dr Yeong Chai-Hong
Dr Yeong is a Professor of Medical Physics at Taylor’s University. She is the current President of the South-East Asia Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics (SEAFOMP), Chair of Medical Physics World Board, International Organization for Medical Physics (IOMP), Vice President of the Malaysian Association of Medical Physics (MAMP), and one of the Founders of the ASEAN College of Medical Physics (ACOMP). She is also an IAEA expert for multiple Task Groups and regional activities. She was the recipient of the IUPAP Young Scientist Award 2021, first from the developing countries. Her research areas focus on theragnostics nuclear medicine, interventional radiology and 3D printing in medicine. She owns 4 patents and has published more than 80 journal articles, 2 academic books and 2 book chapters. She is the Editor of the e-Medical Physics World (eMPW) Bulletin and IOMP Newsletter. She also serves as a reviewer for several international renowned journals.
Dr Yoo Roh-Eul
Ms Yoon Sook-Yee
Ms Yoon Sook-Yee is one of the two certified Genetic Counsellors in Malaysia and is accredited by the Human Genetics Society Australasia (FHGSA). She has worked in various roles, including as the Head of the Familial Cancer and Genetic Counselling Programme in Cancer Research Malaysia. Her research focuses on hereditary cancers and the psychosocial aspects of genetic testing and counselling in Malaysia. Ms Yoon is actively involved in teaching and is the President of the Genetic Counselling Society Malaysia, aiming to raise awareness of genetic tests and counselling in the country.
Datin Dr Zuhanis Abdul Hamid
Dr. Zuhanis is a radiologist specializing in thoracic radiology. She graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1995 and completed her radiology master's program in 2009. After seven years, she pursued a subspecialty program in thoracic radiology for three years, including an attachment at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital. Since then, she has been providing thoracic radiology services nationwide, training seven thoracic radiologists in Malaysia. She actively participates in committees and is a member of several professional societies. She has a number of publications and research/clinical trial involvement.
